Hi! I’m Megan—the proud owner of Plum & Proper Dishes, formerly known as Debby Does Dishes. I was lucky enough to be mentored by the beloved Debby Rubley, an antique-collecting creative powerhouse, before purchasing the business from her in 2023. Debby spent over twenty years building this beautiful, full-service vintage dish rental company, and I was honored to carry her legacy forward while infusing it with my own vision.

I’m a bleeding heart, a hopeless romantic, and someone who probably enjoys your wedding speeches a little too much. I believe every celebration deserves to feel personal and intentional, and I love helping couples create tablescapes that reflect their story—whether it’s a backyard elopement or a black-tie bash.

At the core of Plum & Proper are the values that matter most to me: inclusivity, authenticity, and joy. I believe love is love, and I wholeheartedly welcome inquiries from couples of all colors, genders, orientations, and faiths.

When I’m not styling tables or sorting vintage glassware, you’ll find me working in schools, studying for my graduate classes, chasing my kids around, treasure hunting at estate sales, taking too many pictures, or getting lost in a good romantasy read.
