Bright, Colorful, and Bold Done Right
There are some weddings that linger long after the last dish is packed away. Paige and Conor’s August 2025 celebration at Sundance and the Secret Garden was exactly that kind of day.
Sundance has long been a favorite venue of mine - it’s wildly unique, a little eclectic, and completely unbothered by trends. It invites personality. It welcomes color. And every time we bring our dishes into that space, they settle in like they belong there. Paige and Conor’s wedding was no exception.
The Secret Garden portion of the venue feels like stepping through a hidden doorway. Suddenly, you’re somewhere softer. Somewhere intimate. The gardens wrap around you in a way that makes everything feel smaller in the best way - closer, warmer, more meaningful. It feels transported… like you’ve stumbled into a tucked-away European courtyard where time slows down and conversations linger.
From the very beginning, Paige’s color palette was intentional and joyful: bright pinks, fuchsia, vibrant orange, and layered greens. These weren’t timid pops of color — they were confident, celebratory, and completely alive. The venue itself already carries so much character, and instead of competing with it, the colors played alongside it.
One of my favorite details? The hand-drawn red hearts woven throughout the design. They showed up in subtle but consistent ways and tied everything together with this playful, romantic thread. It felt personal and whimsical. Like a quiet nod to the reason everyone was gathered there in the first place.
The tablescapes were pure magic. Patterned plates layered with colorful glassware - pink, green, amber, and red goblets catching the late summer light. The florals were lush and full of movement. The bold candlesticks added height and the perfect pops of colors. And the light pink chiffon napkins brought texture in the most beautiful way - airy and romantic against the bold color story. Every table felt like a still life painting you didn’t want to disturb.
As we cleared at the end of the night, I had that rare thought: If I could redo my own wedding, this is what I would want it to look like.
That’s the highest compliment I can give.
Paige and Conor created a celebration that felt artistic, intimate, and completely true to them. It was proof that bold color can still feel elegant. That eclectic can still feel cohesive. And that when couples lean fully into what they love, the result is unforgettable.
Weddings like this are why I do what I do, and Sundance will forever be one of those venues where creativity gets to run just a little bit wild in the very best way.
